Hosted User Still Shows up, is in Groups and Has Permissions After it has Been Removed

I submitted a request to have a user removed from the system. The request was processed, but if I go to Security>Maintain Users or Maintain Groups the user is still there and in a group. If I check rights the user still has permissions and the user is still listed as active.
