With the Advanced Security Module, advanced auditing capabilities are available. Once Record Types are identified and enabled -- the system records detailed information regarding new, changed or deleted entries.
Setting up Advanced Auditing:

Navigate to Administration>System> Audit Trails

Click Set Up Advanced Organization Audit

Select the applicable Record types that need to be audited for your organization

A report populates with detailed information regarding new, changed or deleted entries for the record types selected.
