Processing a benefit enrollment using a Benefit Plan ID with the same code name as a prior period can result in the prior period effective dates being overwritten with the current period dates. On the employee record this will allow two deductions for the same code to be processed from the employees’ check. If multiple plan years are involved using the same code name, they will all be overwritten.
