Symptom
The forms I purchased for 2021 1099-NEC do not match.
Cause
The federal government copy has changed the 1099-NEC from a 2-part to a 3-part form.
Resolution
Abila’s checks and forms distributor has the updated forms you can order. You can go to this website to order them: https://www.mipchecks.com/estore/TAX+FORMS/1099s+and+1096s/L99NECA/prod4220003_prd.p?_requestid=169503.
This ONLY affects 1099-NEC. The 1099-MISC remains unchanged.
This is for tax year 2021 and forward. Tax year 2020 is still a 2-part form.
